Weight Loss #12

Good evening all :)

Well I've been absent for a couple of weeks on my blog as it has been my birthday and I have been really busy with cake orders and home improvements :)

It was my birthday on the 1st Feb and I had a lovely day :) my little boy went to spend the night at the grandparents and me and my hubby went shopping and out for a lovely meal :) I ate birthday cake for breakfast :) (and dinner & dessert after my meal out lol) enjoyed a lovely meal out and some more wine at home :) I was really good in the week leading up to my birthday to try and take some of the hit and luckily it worked and I managed to maintain my weight.

So this week just gone I have tried to get back on track and tonight was my weigh in...

Weigh in update: -1.5lb

I achieved my 1 and a half stone award too :) and I'm only half a pound away from going into the next stone bracket :)

I came home and enjoyed a simple meal of fish and chips :)
(No syns)

I have treated myself to a cadbury creme egg as well though :)

I have lost 6.5lb so far this year which works out at just over a pound a week on average. I was hoping to hit an average of 1.5lb per week but I'm quite happy with my loss. My goal for the beginning of April was 20lb lost but I think I'm going to revise this goal and aim for 14lb loss by 31st March.

I do think I need to get on with some exercise though. I attempted to do Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred but my DVD player remote won't work and the buttons on the player don't help. I've got a cross trainer in the garage but its sooooo cold at the moment. I need to get my act together and just do it.

I hope you're all doing well :) let me know how you're getting on with your weight loss :)

Weight loss #9

Good evening :)

I completely forgot to update this on Monday I think its because I was late getting back from my Slimming World meeting . Of course everyone went crazy joining my local club as it was the first weigh in of the new year so it was super busy.

Anyway I'm please to report

Weigh in update: -2lb

Wooooo hoooo!!!

I did try really hard as it was over new year and I was away celebrating but I'm so glad to have a good start going into the new year.

This week I have again been trying my hardest to stick to the plan :) I have been on 2 walks this week and made a massive bowl of fruit salad with 5 different fruits in to keep my sweet tooth at bay.

I have slipped up a little though as my husband brought back from work some chocolate and like a moth to a flame I gravitated towards it. We have also been out for a carvery today, I don't feel that that was the worst thing ever I'm just really hoping that it doesn't affect my weigh in tomorrow.

I have however made a batch of soup up so that I don't stray off plan over the next few days and another batch of fruit salad.

So I get weighed in tomorrow night and I will try and write about it sooner as I feel I'm playing catch up with myself writing it like this.

Weight loss #5

So this week I tried again to do better and I had my weekly weigh in last night

Weigh in update: -1/2lb

So at least I'm heading in the right direction although I want to do better. This week my aim is to lose 1.5lb which will get me out of my weight loss rut. If I manage to lose 1.5lb then I will be at my lowest so far on this journey and I will feel like I have turned a corner.

These are just two of the meals I had this last week

Hearty Italian style meal

This meal contains celery, carrots, onions, peppers, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes, passata, chicken, bacon, macaroni, oregano & garlic. It's a fantastic meal, the original recipe for this was called a 'soup' but every time I have made this its more like a meal. I suppose you could make it into a soup by blending the veg a bit and adding less pasta but i like it like this. It is so yummy and satisfying.

Sweet potato and prawn curry

This meal contains sweet potatoes, onions, peppers, sugar snap peas, garlic, chilli, chilli powder, curry powder, cumin, ground coriander, prawns (and I added chicken too) served with rice.

I may have forgotten some ingredients in the curry but I am writing this from memory, this recipe is actually from the extra easy cook book so if you have that you will be able to look it up in there. I added the chicken as I didn't feel I had enough prawns in it and the mix seemed to work well :)

If you would like any more details on those meals let me know but they were quite simple to make.

Wishing you all a good weigh loss week :)
