Mini shopping & birthday haul

Hello all,
So it was my birthday on the 1st feb and I went shopping with my husband and bought a few nice things :) I thought I'd do a combined birthday present & shopping haul for anyone who's interested :)

I also got some BarryM nail polish from Boots in Hi Shine Gelly in Passion Fruit, Matt Vanilla, Metallic Gold & Limited Edition 349 (This is like a rose gold glitter effect I've looked for an exact name for it but cant find it, this one was from Superdrug)

So I had some lovely gifts from people and I spent far too much money whilst shopping but I don't do it very often and it was a birthday treat from my husband :)

Weight Loss #13


Evening all,
(Just a quick update this evening as I'm really cold and not feeling quite myself.)

So this week as been a bit of a meh week. I have been good I think and only strayed off the plan a little without counting the syns.

Weigh in update: -0.5lb

I know its a loss but I was really hoping for at least another half a pound to push me into the next stone bracket. 
I hope I've not made it too hard for myself either as I came home and instead of tea I have eaten a bag of mini eggs, Malteaster bunny & half a packet of Tuc biscuits :(
That's not good is it!!

I think I've said this before but I'm going to try and do some exercise this week. I have a spa day on Wednesday and I'm going to use the gym first. I'm hoping that this will motivate me to get started with the exercise.

Anyway I'm going to go and curl up with a hot drink and try and warm up. I hope you've had a good week and if anyone has any words of encouragement I'd love a bit of a pep talk as I'm feeling quite fed up with dieting.

Guest room make over


Hello all,
I hope you are enjoying a lovely Sunday afternoon, its the only day it hasn't rained here this week.
This year as one of my goals/to-do items I wanted to get on an decorate a few if not all rooms in the house. We moved in about 2 and a half years ago and the decor was in a pretty OK state and not a bad palette of colours that we chose to live with it plus we had no money for such a task lol
Now however... Still no money for the job but I have started the make over and I have tried to do it on a budget. I wanted to make a start quite early on this year so that it didn't fall to the back of the list and never end up getting done.
I have made my first start on our spare room. Here is a photo of what it looked like.
It's only a small box room and everything is a mess.

As you can see in the before picture I had been playing around with wall paper samples and to be honest this is quite tidy from the state it had been in, before this there was a larger desk and a dressing table in there.

I want this to become a functional spare bedroom and a nice place to be even if the space is small. I want people to be able to stop over (I say people but I really just mean my best friend after we've been on a night out lol) and also if my little boy is hard to settle then it will be nice to have a single bed to snuggle up in and get him to sleep.

Weight Loss #12

 
Good evening all :)
 
Well I've been absent for a couple of weeks on my blog as it has been my birthday and I have been really busy with cake orders and home improvements :)
 
It was my birthday on the 1st Feb and I had a lovely day :) my little boy went to spend the night at the grandparents and me and my hubby went shopping and out for a lovely meal :) I ate birthday cake for breakfast :) (and dinner & dessert after my meal out lol) enjoyed a lovely meal out and some more wine at home :) I was really good in the week leading up to my birthday to try and take some of the hit and luckily it worked and I managed to maintain my weight.
 
So this week just gone I have tried to get back on track and tonight was my weigh in...
 
Weigh in update: -1.5lb
 
I achieved my 1 and a half stone award too :) and I'm only half a pound away from going into the next stone bracket :)
 
 
I came home and enjoyed a simple meal of fish and chips :)
(No syns)
 
 
 
I have treated myself to a cadbury creme egg as well though :)
 
I have lost 6.5lb so far this year which works out at just over a pound a week on average. I was hoping to hit an average of 1.5lb per week but I'm quite happy with my loss. My goal for the beginning of April was 20lb lost but I think I'm going to revise this goal and aim for 14lb loss by 31st March.
 
I do think I need to get on with some exercise though. I attempted to do Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred but my DVD player remote won't work and the buttons on the player don't help. I've got a cross trainer in the garage but its sooooo cold at the moment. I need to get my act together and just do it.
